All looking good for Biker Event.

The management team held their final meeting on Tuesday and currently all is looking good.

A busy final week is expected getting everything in place and making sure we’re able to welcome all bikers, traders and members of the public to the event in Hall Garth Park.

The Weather is looking good for the event and we’re expecting 20 degrees and Sunshine all day (Hornsea – BBC Weather).

Anyone wishing to help can still volunteer (Contact – Hornsea Events), or come to the control tent on the day.

We’re hoping everyone will have a great day.

    We’re in Hornsea Community News

HALL Garth Park in Hornsea will be roaring to life on Sunday, August 17, as Hornsea Events hosts its much-anticipated Bike Show. It is planned to be a celebration of all things motorcycling while providing fur for the whole family.

Organised by a passionate team, the event has been in the works since September 2024. “It’s taken a lot of hard work behind the scenes,” says Rachael Charlton from the committee. “But everything’s now coming together, and we couldn’t do it without the help of local businesses and volunteers.”

The event promises something for everyone, whether you’re a biker, enthusiast, or just looking for a great family day out.

Alan Cusworth from the committee added: “We’re expecting a good show of bikes, both old and new plus memorabilia displays and trade stalls. There’ll be live music throughout the day, food and drink vendors, and something for all ages.”

The event is open 9am to 6pm with live music from 12 noon to 6pm. Bike entries and judging will take place between 12pm and 2pm, with winners announced at 3pm. Categories for the bike show can be found on the Hornsea Events website www.hornseaevents.org

There is a fundraising raffle, featuring more than 20 prizes, including a luxury barbecue donated by Hornsea Garden Centre. Rachael added: “We’ve had such generous support from local businesses. too many to name individually, but we’re grateful to every one of them.”

Raffle tickets are available online and The New Inn and Rage Quit in Hornsea as well as at the event. Hall Bros bike café in Carnaby are having their own ride in together with bikers gathering from 9am before riding over to Hornsea for the show.
Those riding in are asked if possible to arrive around 10.30am to create a display that spectators love to see but parking in the park for bikers is available all day.
Those arriving by car can also park at Hornsea School and Language College using the Atwick Road entrance, Eastgate entrance will be pedestrian access only.

Beyond the bikes, there will be craft stalls, charity and community group stands, and a funfair with rides for all ages. Food vendors will be serving up everything from sweet treats to hearty lunches.

Thanks to support from Chip N Gails on Cliff Road, food will also be provided for the event’s team of volunteers. “We’re still looking for more helpers,” says Alan. “If people want to pitch in, they can just pop by the control tent on the day or message through the website or our Hornsea Events -Bike Show Facebook page.”

Though the event isn’t a fundraiser for a specific charity this year, all donations collected will go directly towards running next year’s event to secure its future.

“This is our first year as a new committee, Rachael explains. “We’ve had to start from scratch with insurances, sound equipment, you name it. So everything we raise goes back into making sure this becomes a lasting event for Hornsea.”

Hornsea Events Bike Show is now a Community Interest Company (CIC) and operates independently from previous organisers. “We’re not part of Hornsea Foundation or the original Hornsea Bike Event.” Alan notes. “But we were inspired by it, and we’re proud to carry the torch forward with Sid’s blessing,”

Rachael added: “This is about giving something back to the town and bringing everyone together.”
